Next 'Survivor' may be from The Dalles

Outwit, outplay and outlast may well be the call for a former The Dalles resident who is purportedly going to be on the next CBS Survivor series scheduled to start in February.
Website survivorfever.net has “confirmed” that Jennifer or “Jenni” Lyon, 32, is a participant in the next Survivor series which takes place in the South Pacific islands of Palau — southeast of the Philippines.
The website has accurately scooped the identities of many cast members prior to the airing of past survivor series.CBS, however, has yet to release the names of the new cast members and are keeping tight wraps on the show and those who know the details prior to it airing.
Lyon is the daughter of Jane and Lawrence Lyon of The Dalles.
She graduated from The Dalles High School in 1990, according to the school’s 1990 Steelhead yearbook.
Lyon also has an athletic background, lettering in soccer and track in 1990. She qualified for state in track in the 400 M relay and the 300 M hurdles, according to the yearbook. She was also voted “Most Outstanding” on her track team.
She is apparently gifted in song as well. She was a member of the elite Bel Canto Choir at the high school.
According to survivorfever.net, Lyon is now a resident of California and has worked as a nanny. The website also states that CBS’s The Early Show will unveil the entire cast of Survivor: Palau — Lyon included — on Thursday.
Lyon and 19 other “new castaways will be abandoned,” in the upcoming series, the website states. “From the beginning, the game will be changed in a dramatic way. Everything the survivors have come to expect will be wiped in the first 10 minutes. The series begins with the premiere of Survivor: Palau - Feb. 3, 2005.”
The website calls the Palau Islands “the most stunning location yet” in the Survivor series. “The islands and waters of Palau is a place that some have called the eighth natural wonder of the world — a tropical setting of stunning islands, dense jungles and an underwater world beyond belief. It was in this part of the world that war raged in the 1940s. Today the remains and wreckage of the war haunt these waters and jungles like ghosts of a violent past.”
