There was a character ranking survey like two or three seasons ago.....didn't you do that one, Beatles? I remember Hatch was #1.

Yeah, but it was a survey and not just my personal ranking...it'd have been perfect if it wasn't spoiled by everyone else's opinions. ;) You might
be thinking of a different one though; Hatch should've been #1 but it wasn't too long after S12 and Cirie ended up taking the top spot (and Shane was
at #3).

I think someone should do a list of the top 50 challenge competitors, because for one: it'd drive Sucksters isnane because of how we hate challenges and
love strategy, and two, it'd give some credit to the shitty players like Ozzy, James, and Terry, that have something going for them, even if they
couldn't strategize out of a paper bag.

James only won like one challenge. BTW, I don't hate challenges, they are integral to the show and when done right, can be very fun(the competitions on
Pearl Islands for instance were all viscerally appealing and very intense and beautifully shot), I just hate the repitition and how they tyake precedance
lately.

If we do top 50 challenge competitors, it would be better to do top 25 males and top 25 females. It would be unfair to pit men against women in that category.
Darrah, Jenna, Kelly top 3. |

Pfft, Darrah won a smallest hand contest (later won by Karen in BB5), a shooting contest (which I'll give her), and a word challenge after 4 of the seven
players dropped out. If any woman from that season deserves to be in the top twenty-five, it's Christa for her performance in the episode six immunity
challenge. Also, as much as I hate her, Amanda deserves to be ranked high on that list as well.

Also, just to avoid starting a Christa/Darrah war (seriously, where the FUCK did that rivalry come from), we can all agree that Chona (Cho/Luna) would dominate
a female challenge competitor list.

Well, I can agree about Chona! But seriously, Christa had manpower, but she overall wasn't that strong of a competitor when it came to non-brute-strength
challenges. Darrah won a physical challenge, a mental challenge, and a skillset challenge. Pretty cool actually.

It just doesn't work. Some people like Kelly Wigglesworth faced a pretty weak field of competitors, etc. If a season has a lot of water challenges, Ozzy is
the favorite. Physical, non-swimming challenges? Then it's probably Terry or Tom. You would certainly have to have two separate lists for males/females.
Basically, it's also not something we have good statistics for. The best challenge competitor ever can be removed at the beginning of the merge before
they'd have gone on a six IC winning streak. Stephenie LaGrossa, for example, is very good at challenges but she faced some very adept competitors and had
poor teammates in both seasons, etc. Anyway, the list would just be a total crapshoot.

The Colbys ,Ruperts,Lex,Darrahs,Kellys etc are weakling physical specimens compared to some of the people from Pulau-Current it's almost like comparing
1960's nfl players to their bigger faster quicker modern day counterparts.

Yeah, a challenge competitors ranking would be tough for a couple of reasons--Stephenie's certainly one of the strongest women when it comes to challenges,
but it'd be hard to justify ranking her too high given her track record. And even the numbers themselves are misleading--Chris won three individual ICs in
Vanuatu, all of which took place when he was the only remaining man--one was mostly luck-based; one was extremely physical; and the other was an endurance
challenge based on upper arm strength. Then there's the little matter of his incredibly embarrassing performance in the first team challenge. Plus, the
challenges are so uneven between seasons--Palau's challenges were much more intense than just about any from the first six seasons.
It'd definitely be a neat read but I don't know if it could go beyond just a chronological/alphabetical list; there are too many variables to really do an actual ranking. |

Since it looks like Survivor rankings are starting to become 'in' once again, I'm gonna go ahead and reveal what I'll be doing next, to call
dibs on it and make sure nobody else does it first.
So coming this offseason...The 40-50 Most Underrated Characters in Survivor History. Woo! |

Criteria for 40 most underrated characters should simply be anybody not in the Sucks Hall of Fame.

JamieJudd > Jamie in challenges. They both won a challenge each but Judd did more to help his tribe win (boulder, tug-of-war) and Jamie was single-handedly responsible for losing the rope-cutting one. |
