Can't we all just get along?

You cannot truly believe that America's Tribal Council was anything resembling an exercise in democracy. Think of it more as an election in some banana republic, where you can vote for anyone on the ballot, but somehow the tally-ers only count the "right" ones. We all know the $1M was a gift to Rupert for "saving" the Survivor franchise. While it cheapened the whole premise of the show, it made a bunch of dopes feel fuzzy.

For everyone who is flogging Rob and Amber around here, deal with the fact that they bossed the game in ASS. I don't want to hear about how previous winners didn't have a snowball's chance in Hell. That's irrelevant. He took advantage of the situation and played the game for 2 people, getting them both to the Final 2 and winning the girl's @#%$. Touching, really, AND entertaining. You have to admit that if nothing else, he's good television -- no one can be neutral about him.

So, let's try to separate our Survivor feelings from our TAR feelings, and we'll wait until the show actually starts until any effigy burning starts. I guarantee you'll see different sides of both Rob and Amber in TAR; the game dynamics will make those apparent. We can wait until then to bring judgment upon them. I'll admit, I loved Rob in Marquesas, stopped watching Survivor after he was booted there, and only took up watching again when I heard he'd be on ASS. So yea, I'm starting out with Romber in a positive light. But if the game turns them into some kind of Colin & Christie or Jonathan and what's her name, I'll hop ship while still enjoying their Survivor performance.

But TLN, you even admitted they're good TV.

So you can hope that whoever you're pulling for makes the final 3 teams with Romber, so you can root actively against them in the last footrace or some such.
