Ha ha, yeah I had to pick between Gob throwing the letter into the ocean, George Michael doing his Star Wars video, or Gob and Lindsey doing their chicken
dance at the same time. I'll probably rotate between them in the future. I love that show.

I would LOVE to see/steal the chicken dance one, lol. That's like one of my favorite AD visuals ever. Along with when Lucille and George join in and all
four of them do it that one time.

Okay here you go. Here are a bunch of good AD pictures you can use as avatars (including the chicken dance.) Feel free to snag and use any of them.

I love the AD so much. One of the best things to make it to the air in years -YEARS. I'm doing Upright Citizens Brigade now and loving it.
I'm changing my stance on Colleen's vote. I think she and Vee have been studying each other all game, and understand the other better than anyone else in terms of how they play. John was easily manipulated by Alicia and then wouldn't listen to Colleen (at least in this version- whatever) -and John's talk to her that it's just a game "and besides Vee's going to win anyway." Well, okay then. Colleen got Rich's game by the end, and gets how people play, so she'll think level-headed and give it up to Vee for doing a pretty impressive job. |

I loved AD so much that it literally ruined the idea of a "sitcom" for me. I can't watch other sitcoms now. They are too slow paced and the
jokes are way too obvious. I find myself thinking, hmmm, I wonder how this scene would have been different if Mitchell Hurwitz would have written it.
AD ruined TV for me. |

Okay day 39 is complete all the way up to the final TC. I really like the way it reads. It's not as epic as my Hawaii or (especially) my Greece finale,
but I like its bleak simplicity. I would have liked to have a big old grand 120 page day 39 like I did in Greece, but I just don't have the energy for
that this time around. This time, we're going for simplicity. I just want you to like both finalists as they go into their final showdown. I wanted you
to see the story through their eyes, as opposed to through the eyes of the jurors (as I did in my other stories). That's why I didn't include any
juror confessionals this time around. I decided that the story wasn't about the jurors anymore. I wanted to focus 100% on John and Vee on day 39 instead.
Although I have to say... I do miss my epic helicopter shot of the two finalists walking up the marble steps and then facing a jury in the clouds. Oh well. I love my Greece finale. I think it is the best episode I have ever written (either that, or the Heidik boot episode in Alaska). But I guess you can only pull that off once. Anyway, here's day 39 of Hawaii. It's simple, but I am happy with it. http://www.averdata.net/~...aseb/hawaii/day_39_wc.htm Final TC coming soon. I've been role playing it in my head for two weeks. It should be easy to write. |

I think John's overly confident about Frank's vote. Sure, he's got a shot at it, but I don't see how it is in the bag. Frank's not going
to vote based upon who he dislikes least. Frank operates very much in black and white terms. Either you deserve his respect or you don't, and I don't
think he respects either finalist all that much, putting them on equal ground from that aspect. In the end, Frank will listen to the arguments and go with his
gut instinct, which makes him very much a tossup vote. If John has him as a sure thing, he doesn't understand the man at all.
I do think John has to be favored for Colleen's vote, but the approach he's taking to her could cost him it. Colleen won't appreciate being "handled" - if she thinks John is trying to manipulate her, she could well decide to go the other way. What worked to "handle" her within the pressures of the game may not fare so well with her getting the chance to refresh herself and observe. He may be best off not pushing too hard for her vote since he'd probably get it in a vacuum. Ironically, his decision to emphasize how much he wants to win could strike a discordant note with the way he dealt with Colleen in the game. Gretchen is a hypocrite, but she's not really aware of her hypocrisy. She's not Tina, who would certainly look at how she comes off in what she says and does. Much like Frank, she'll end up voting based upon how she feels at the moment when she makes the decision. All that said, I think John may have an advantage just because Gretchen can relate to his emotional side whereas Vee comes off as coolly analytical. That said, if John flashes too hotly with his emotion such as if he loses his temper or shows a bit of his mean streak, it likely will backfire. Of the other votes, I don't think there's much likelihood of variance. Kathy will vote for John - she'd rationalize a vote for him even if he gives the all time worst jury performance ever. Tina will vote for Vee, and she'll use her forum to promote the game that Vee played (and perhaps defuse the former winner argument). Rob won't vote for John though he may well try to make him think he's got a shot at it before pulling the rug out. Alicia could vote for John, but it would take a total meltdown in their confrontation in order for her to do so - otherwise she's got too much pride to back off from her exit pronouncement that she's voting for Vee. |

Good writing, tense. Although, it's pretty obvious Vee's winning in a landslide, right?
Robotic Vee and argumentative John - you can have em. Tina and Colleen will give you more milleage. good job though. |

I haven't posted an update in a while, but that's not because I haven't been writing. It's because I'm keeping the final TC secret. I
hope to have the end of the episode up in a couple of days.

MARIO!!!!!!!!! You are killing me....haha. I need my fix! I can be patient...
Really, CL, it's not cool to openly talk about how you are rewriting his stories in his own thread. It's really disrespectful. Mario seems to be cool with it, but I'd be pissed if someone was blatantly saying that my story sucked so bad that it needed a whole new rewritten ending.... |
|||
SenseiKreese |

Well I don't mind that much because CL and I have been friends for a long time. So he can do whatever he wants, I don't care. I just reserve the
right to completely ignore him when he starts talking about it. 8 years of friendship can buy a lot of disrespect on both sides, minus the hurt feelings. :-P

woah, woah, woah- I never intend to be hurtful or disrespectful to Sensei, ever.
And I stand by my opinions in this story where I think it faultered and it has nothing to do with who made the final two.

Thanks for explaining that! I had no idea of the history you two had...I definitely didn't mean any disrespect towards you.

I don't think they were releasing DVD's at the time when the game is set.
I liked Rob's assault of John. |

Yeah I know they weren't. That's a line I will debate keeping when I get to the final draft. I love the fact that he says it, but I also know
it's also not historically accurate for 2002. So I have to decide if that's a problem or not. In truth I probably will keep it, because I like it so
much, but I have to think about it. What else could I put there instead? "Stop trying to get your face on the ______"?
I don't think it's any great surprise that they probably were going to release DVDs in 2002, so that's my argument for why I could use it. I don't know. We'll see. |

it's really fun. The John/Alicia moment is just a vacuum of self-fulfilling egos that goes on and on. That's not a complaint -it comes off
authentic. Where we the viewers would be saying, "Answer a question!"
Oh come on, man. Switch it. Make Colleen go last. Gretchen's just going to talk about the land, respect, integrity. Colleen can let it fly and let on that she knew a lot more. And she can pull the story together about the Vee/Colleen dance, and the comment John made on the trip, "it's just a game and besides Vee's winning anyway." Good work -everyone's voice is distinct and accurate. |
