As for Rick he is neither the most boring nor the most invisible but he is definitely fighting to be at the bottom. His grunts at every challenge, the frosting moment with Edna, his confessional about the fire during the recap and comments about Albert prove he at least brings SOMETHING to the table.

Besides, there have been times where he's said a sentence or two around the campfire to tribemates and he was perfectly understandable... it would be pretty weird if they make them re-do scenes where they're talking to eachother.
