And this is coming from someone who likes a classic game of Survivor - 16 contestants, no HII's, no exile island, etc. When I first heard of it on the S22 preview, I was angry. I did not want it. I just wanted it to go away. However, after watching two seasons of it, I actually do like it. I like how if someone I like gets voted off, I can just think, "it's okay, they might not be gone for good T_T." I think it definitely adds an interesting dynamic to the game. Is it without flaws? No. Would I like to see it in every season? Fuck no. But, for two seasons, I think it was a decent twist. I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but whatever. Does anyone agree with me on this one?

They got voted out for a reason, come back, and be voted out for the same reason by the same (even though less) people. Ozzy kicked ass! But if Ozzy lost sooner, we would have a more diverse line-up at R.I. None-the-less, two tribes on the same island.. great cluster-fuck. Now R.I. is pointless in giving out information to the other tribe so other than the fact that your fav players have another chance.. No point

Unfortunately, interesting people are invisible on Survivor now. Christine should have been shown more often - seeing her struggle and change would have been the most interesting use of Redemption Island.

It was almost like it was made for Ozzy. But somehow even the producers didn't think of this...Ozzy only got to come back because Jeff asked on Twitter who fans wanted back and the response was overwhelmingly Ozzy <3

I don't care if Ozzy won 800 duels in a row - he blew it the minute he got back into the game TWICE, so that pretty much shows that he's good at duels, but not Survivor. Same with Coach - good at making alliances - shitty at Survivor.

If you had, you whould have seen that a huge majority of the people here hated the R.I. factor and it would therefore have been like waving a red flag in front of a bull to post a thread saying you liked it. So, please take a few minutes and skim thru some of the posts here before making any new threads and in that way, a little skimming will prevent you from scumming. OK? I think it may have been thought up in a few minutes using a cocktail napkin when the people involved were flat out drunk. So, .... fuck it! It is just too pitiful to consider that something that was thought up in just a few mnutes can bring hundreds of millions of dollars and make the producers and other people behind it very very wealthy while many others just suffer. Aww ..... Fuck It!

The problem is the tendency on Survivor to vote off the strong players. RI attempted to let them back in. Where they would just get voted out again unless they went on an immunity run. RI could work if the winner of each duel just came back in the game. Vote them out again and again...they win each duel, back they come. Voting people out is lame. Someone should have to kick them out. Beat them at something to push them out. It's called survivor...not democracy 101. That's the good part that RI had...at least everyone sent home was beaten...and not just voted out...well except for Rick. And Ozzy...yeah, he lost the last challenge, but it was multiple players and then they voted him out. I would make the final 3 = winner of the last immunity challenge; someone who avoided getting voted out at the end; and the last RI winner. For example...cut to when Ozzy beats Brandon and comes back in the game. He wins immunity...they vote out Rick. I would let Rick pick amongst the players who voted for him and they would duel. Rick vs Coach. Say Coach won. Back in the game he goes. Next Immunity...Sophie wins...Ozzy voted out. He duels one of the players who voted for him...say Coach. He beats Coach...back in the game he goes. Final three...Sophie, Albert, Ozzy. Jury votes for the winner. Jury is way less bitter. Everyone had a shot to duel...everyone could make their own way. No betrayal...or a lot less than what we get now. Rick doesn't like that Coach voted for him...duel. Brandon doesn't like that Coach voted for him...duel. Clever player...talks others into voting for someone to go to duel, but doesn't do it himself...and has a good excuse.
