Okay so, I have a massive headache from trying to figure out what to do in this situation, so I figured I would come here with it and at least get a few suggestions of ways to kill myself.
I'm divorced with 2 teenage kids. My ex lives in another state. The kids went to visit their father at Christmas and one of them came back to me so I could take him to an appointment or two. The other one stayed with their dad. (We homeschool, so scheduling is pretty lax as for as being able to do family trips whenever we want.)
Here comes the problem.
I would like for both kids to be with me again. Their dad seems to want to keep the oldest one for an indefinite amount of time. The kids both want to be with me, but don't want to make their dad upset so they won't argue with him. I need the older kid to be here, in the state where he lives, so he can get his driver's permit, plus he's due to have his eyes examined to see if he needs new glasses.
Do I sit back and quietly wait for my ex to decide to bring my(our) kid back to me, or do I suck it up and be a bitch about it and insist on getting my kid back?
