Sorry for missing this Nomi, but I just realised on my own that Amitabh Bachchan is the low voiced guy from all these clips. I've been watching him on Indian Millionaire (Kaun Banega Crorepati). There is enough English that I can understand it. I've also been watching a few of his movies. Unfortunately, they haven't been subtitled so I get just the basic plot. He's my new hero, and is apparently the biggest star in the world.

I saw a movie with the chubby guy last night, but all the program guides said was "Movie", so I couldn't get a name.

Right after I posted the last message, I did a search for "Amitabh bow tie" and found the name of the film. Don. I ordered the DVD for 6 bucks and it's awesome. One of my favorite movies ever. Highly recommended. Sort of a blacksploitation film. Very campy, and funny. Bachchan is the coolest. Now that I know the other movie names, I may order them too.

I think Hollywood posters and trailers are getting so bland and uncreative I wish we could get some of that old style back. Second, in the final round, Priyanka was asked the following: "Who do you consider to be the most successful woman living today?" Her response: "Mother Teresa". The bitch died in 1997! And I say that will all due respect. After the pageant, Priyanka said that she said Mother Teresa because, though she is no longer living in the physical sense, her work (which has been criticized in many quarters) and spirit (ditto) live on, so in a sense, Mother Teresa is still alive.
